Logan Zeinert says it is great to be able to stay close to home while studying for a Biological Sciences Degree at the University of Waikato’s Tauranga campus. Under the Bay of Plenty Tertiary Education Partnership, students can now pathway from the Bay of Plenty Polytechnic into the University of Waikato.

"I started studying for a Diploma of Marine Studies at the BOP Polytechnic for two years. And now I only need to do one year to get my Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biological Sciences. The Bay of Plenty Polytechnic ran a Marine studies programme at my high school. It was awesome and it was all I wanted to do", says Logan.

"Visiting the Careers expo really opens your eyes. There is so much out there that you don‘t even know of. It helps you to think and make the right decisions. It is a great event to find out about the many options available in the Bay of Plenty."

The University of Waikato will be a the Tauranga Careers and Business Expo, TECT Arena, Baypark Stadium on Friday 8 August from 9am-4pm and Saturday 9 August from 9.30am-3.30pm.
