The University of Waikato is getting behind local entrepreneurs as proud sponsors of the 2014 INNES48 Business Startup Competition. Taking place on May 2-4, the weekend-long business competition will enable budding entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into a business reality.
Fifteen teams will have just 48 hours to create a business model and pitch the idea to a panel of judges. The competition was founded by Hamilton-based business incubator SODA Inc. to encourage greater entrepreneurial spirit in the city.
SODA Inc. provides services to startups to accelerate their business growth. The incubator provides entrepreneurs with mentoring, coaching, professional support services, and access to unprecedented business networks.
The sponsorship is part of the University of Waikato’s ongoing commitment to supporting innovative activities in the region.
