The University of Waikato will have a strong presence at the 2017 Pasifika Festival this weekend at Western Springs, Auckland.
The iconic Pasifika Festival is celebrating its 25th birthday with free entry, more than 220 performance groups and 60,000 visitors expected.
The festival is a celebration of Pacific cultures and tradition. Individual island villages will feature their own style of food stalls, arts and crafts stalls and performances throughout the day celebrating their island stories, dances and songs.
The University of Waikato is sponsoring the event and will have recruitment advisers on hand to assist with enquiries and enrolment information. The University will also be running competitions with the chance to win spot prizes of up to $200.
Current students will be present to discuss their experiences at Waikato.
There will also be a special 25th birthday showcase performance featuring Resonate, who will be performing their famous ‘Moana Mash Up’, based on the latest Disney movie, which has over a million views on You Tube.
