Te Whai Toi Tangata Institute of Professional Learning at the University of Waikato, builds on a long history of providing high quality professional learning opportunities across and beyond the education sector in New Zealand. We work with educational leaders/tumuaki, teachers/kaiako and Kāhui Ako.
Our facilitators cover a wide range of areas of expertise enabling us to weave together a cohesive, responsive plan for your educators and learners/ākonga.
We offer a comprehensive schedule of professional learning workshops throughout the country.
Our organisation is led by Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is based on a set of beliefs that underpin the work that we do.

Education Transforms Futures / Kia toitū te mātauranga
A diverse range of professional learning opportunities are available for educators who want to make a difference; who want to grow their knowledge and practice; who are interested in enhancing their own education. We work alongside teachers and leaders in your place to develop your professional learning journey; either through MoE regionally allocated or self-funded PLD.
Our workshops are generally offered kanohi ki te kanohi with some online series.

Our accredited facilitators are committed to working collaboratively with leaders and teachers to co-construct the professional learning and development, based on identified strengths and needs.
Regionally Allocated PLD
Our facilitators are able to support you through the process of applying for regionally allocated PLD that align to the MoE PLD Priorities in both English and Maori Medium.
