Khebrat Saudi Teacher Program
Posted 08 Aug 2018 2:50pm
In mid-January IPL welcomed our first cohort of 16 Saudi Arabian teachers to New Zealand. Currently the group are working in their host schools three days a week and are continuing their studies with IPL and Pathways College two days a week.
The host schools in the programme offered the teachers the opportunity to spend a day or two in each other’s classes, this has been met with great enthusiasm and all are taking advantage of the opportunity. Additional school visits have been arranged by IPL and we thank all schools who have partnered with us on this project.
On August 7 we welcomed the second cohort of 21 teachers and their families from Saudi Arabia. These teachers have a focus on teaching English as a second language. They will be participating in English Language classes at Waikato Pathways College and we look forward to getting to know them over the next year while they are here with us.
If your school is interested in being part of this exciting opportunity to host a teacher during 2019, or for other future international opportunities, please contact Gaynor Terrill.
