Kia ora I am delighted to be part of Te Whai Toi Tangata as a Reading Recovery Tutor based in Canterbury. I have 16 years of junior school teaching experience and am passionate about helping children who are experiencing the most difficulty getting underway with their literacy learning. I have held Maori curriculum lead roles, run te reo Maori staff meetings and workshops for teachers in Kahui Ako settings. I am particularly passionate about culturally responsive practice and how we can honour Te Tiriti in our mahi.
