Have you begun planning your professional learning and development for next year?
Feedback from our 2021 workshops has shown overwhelming support for a return to kanohi ki te kanohi delivery. We have listened and while we will still offer some online workshops, the majority of our workshops will be offered face to face including our PCT series for both primary and secondary.
We are also offering series of workshops for
- Digital Technologies
- Teacher Aides
- Teachers of Gifted Learners
- PCT Mentors in Secondary schools
- PCT Leaders in Secondary schools
- Strengthening Local Curriculums and
- Middle Leaders throughout the North Island.
For your safety and in line with the extended Covid-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Amendment Order 2021, which came into effect on 25 October 2021, all our staff will be double vaccinated. To ensure the safety of all on campus, The University of Waikato has proposed that from 14 February 2022, all visitors to campus must similarly be double vaccinated.
Feedback from teachers attending our workshops in 2021 -
" I loved being with other beginning teachers, the practical lessons/activities we learnt and collaboration/sharing of ideas".
"I liked seeing the broken down approach to teaching te reo Maori, from setting a context through to practising vocabulary learnt through structures and basic question and answer."
"Great opportunity to engage with others, reflect on current practices and learn new strategies that could be useful in my leadership role and within the classroom".
