We work in partnership with communities, practitioners, and policymakers to produce and translate evidence about current and emerging challenges and identify opportunities for positive change

Our research priorities are:

  1. Understanding patterns of crime and harm in Aotearoa New Zealand
    • Understanding crime problems affecting local communities
    • Exploring synergies between Mātauranga Māori, Pacific knowledges, and Security and Crime Science
  2. Improving efforts to reduce crime and harm in Aotearoa New Zealand
    • Understanding and evaluating crime reduction efforts in local communities
    • Identifying next steps and knowledge gaps
