Lacrosse is a team contact sport of Native American origin played using a small rubber ball and a long-handled stick called a crosse or lacrosse stick.
The Waikato Lacrosse Association oversees club lacrosse within the region. Three club teams are based across Hamilton East, Hamilton North and Hamilton West with each club offering men's and women's teams.
Club lacrosse is played on Saturdays between September - March.
