Student Health

Student Health services are available on both campuses. In Hamilton, you have access to nurses, doctors, counsellors and more. In Tauranga, we have a dedicated Student Health nurse who can help you with your health concerns.

Accessibility Services

Our Accessibility Services help support students with impairment. Get in touch with them to see how they can support you.


The University of Waikato embraces students of all religions. Students on both campuses have access to a chaplain, who are available as pastrol support.


UniRec is our on-campus gym in Hamilton, which is also available for community use. Students have access to discounted plans.

Violence Prevention

The University of Waikato has a dedicated Violence Prevention Coordinator on campus to help you with any concerns, or to seek information/advice or support in relation to harassment, abuse, and/or violence.

Just a Thought

Just a Thought is a free Mental Health support tool, specifically designed for dealing with mild-to-moderate symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Wellbeing Hub

The Wellbeing Hub, located on our Hamilton campus, is a space for students to relax and recharge between classes.
