Supporting students with impairments to be successful in their studies.

The University of Waikato is committed to providing equity in education and works to ensure that students with impairments have access to all areas of campus life.  Our Disability Support Service strives to make our University more inclusive and accessible as well as working to increase the success of students with impairments.

We provide a range of services such as: note-taking support, assistive technology, alternative test and exam arrangements, converting learning material to alternative formats, sign-language interpreter’s, mobility parking permits, specialist equipment and much more.

All students with an impairment are encouraged to register with Disability Support Services before coming to University or very early in your studies.  This will ensure you give yourself the access you need to support your educational success.
