Noise impacts

The Library is a priority space for you to do focused and quiet work. We are aware that during the construction period, noise from nearby construction activity may impact to the usual quiet environments in Te Iho o Te Manawataki | Library spaces.

We will take the same measures we do during exam periods and put out blue "quiet area" signage throughout both Level 3 and Level 4. We'll also close the doors to the stairs on both levels to prevent noise travelling and to create more quiet spaces for you to do focused work.

Please be mindful of this change and consider choosing alternative spaces in the building or on campus for group work and other social activities.

The noisiest work will happen at night to minimise disruption to you. The new opening hours for the building, including Te Iho o Te Manawataki – The Library, will be 8am-6pm on weekdays and 11am-3pm on weekends.

Alternative space arrangements

You can access 24/7 computer suites on Level 0 of the MSB building, across Hillcrest Road in the Management School.
