GEOGY102

A Planet Under Pressure

In recent decades humans have become geological agents, changing physical processes of the earth by such actions as burning fossil fuels, expanding cities, altering diets, and extinguishing species. This paper explores the human motivations and actions that find expression in the natural world. In addition to offering descriptions and explanations of contemporary geographies, students are encouraged to consider solutions to human-induced environmental crises.
