Prerequisites: BIOL201 or BIOEB201

An introduction to the field of molecular ecology. Lecture coverage will include the methods for obtaining DNA sequence data as well as applications for these data. Applications will include species identification for biodiversity assessments (DNA barcoding) as well as evolutionary applications such as phylogeny and phylogeography.
