Registration as a health professional in New Zealand

This paper aims to extend the scientific theory required to understand and identify the pathophysiological impact of findings to determine health needs, guide diagnostic reasoning, plan of care and therapeutic interventions. The Registered Nurse will critically relate the information from the client and whānau assessment to understand underlying pathophysiological conditions and health needs. A comprehensive approach to client and whānau assessment is utilised and the course extends the reasoning and generic assessment skills that are applicable in clinical areas.
