An introduction to modern astrophysics and the behaviour of electrically conducting fluids. Topics will be selected from the magnetohydrodynamic equations, the solar wind, stellar structure, Einstein's general theory of relativity, black holes, magnetic forces, equilibria and (hydro)magnetic stability.
