Any one of MATHS165 or MATHS166; or at least B- grade in FOUND007; or MATHS101; or MATHS103; or ENGEN101; or 14 credits in NCEA Level 3 Calculus including both AS91578 and AS91579 with Merit or better in at least one of them.

This paper gives students a practical introduction to mathematical modelling and real-world problem solving, especially as it relates to science.
