The University of Waikato High Performance Athlete Scholarship was established to support high performance athletes to undertake academic studies and assist them to establish dual-careers for life beyond, and alongside, their sporting pursuits. The purpose of the Scholarship is to foster excellence in high performance sport, academic success, and to strengthen partnerships with community and national sporting bodies.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to domestic students who will be competing in a high performance sport to a regional or national level, and who will be enrolling in an undergraduate degree at the University of Waikato.

Previous recipients may reapply, but only if they met all ongoing eligibility maintenance requirements during their previous scholarship tenure.

    Once you have an account, log into MyWaikato and click on the ‘Scholarships’ tab to see the list of available scholarships
