After studying digital communication and innovation in Singapore, Hendy Leong wanted to further his studies and passion for innovation, disruption, and sustainability.

He was shortlisted for three New Zealand universities; but chose Waikato Management School due to its Triple Crown Accreditation and international reputation for excellence in business education.

“The Master of Digital Business prepares future leaders for a fast-evolving world where ‘disruptive’ digital technologies, such as big data and artificial intelligence, have changed the rules of the game,” says Hendy, who opted to study online.

“The online study curriculum has been one of the most well-planned, well-managed, and most interactive that I have experienced.

"Waikato has a safe, friendly and welcoming atmosphere," says Hendy, "and my overall experience as an international student who studied online during the Covid-19 pandemic was wonderful.

“The robust online platforms and resources to assist remote learners and its multicultural community always provided me with a feeling that I am respected, appreciated and part of the University of Waikato family.”

Today, Hendy is working at FedX in Singapore as a Principal Business Architect, where he attributes his success to the information, knowledge, and exposure he gained during his time at Waikato.
