Indigenous Data Sovereignty and Analytics Subject regulations

The subject is designed to prepare graduates with a strong foundation in Indigenous data sovereignty, enabling them to adopt an Indigenous lens when analysing and interpreting Indigenous data. Graduates will be equipped to critically appraise colonial approaches to data governance—such as deficit patterning in Indigenous statistics—and understand how Indigenous data sovereignty and governance can serve as powerful mechanisms to disrupt these colonial frameworks.
