Health and Wellbeing
Health and Wellbeing is a multi-disciplinary field of study. Health and Wellbeing is not just about the absence of disease, it's about taking a holistic approach to improve outcomes for individuals, iwi, and communities.
Health and Wellbeing intersects with all aspects of our life. Understanding health requires people to make sense of the complexities that shape the health of individuals in our communities. Māori, pacific, western and other perspectives of health are some of the lenses through which health is explored. Health as a subject is taught across the university and in doing so provides opportunities to explore the multidisciplinary factors and issues that can contribute to health equity, service, and outcomes.
You can study the Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Cert. Health and Wellbeing) or the Bachelor of Health (BHealth) and choose to specialise in one of the following subjects:
