After gaining several years' invaluable marketing experience in New Zealand, Waikato BCS graduate Holly Crowe has relocated to Canada on a two-year working visa.
After graduating from a Bachelor of Communication Studies, she gained a graduate position at Mainfreight Air and Ocean, based in Auckland.
Holly then secured a new role at ATT, creating and implementing marketing initiatives the company's recruitment and sales divisions, while measuring the success of marketing activities.
"Ongoing brand development was a key aspect of my role, including managing and developing ATT's online presence and media communications. I loved every minute of this role, gained a huge amount of knowledge and believe it was the perfect starting point for my career in marketing."
Holly says she was "shaped into an articulate and ambitious person" during her time at Waikato, thanks to a wide range of practical experiences.
Holly took part in the Waikato Management School Case Competition in 2013, where teams had to develop an international expansion strategy for New Zealand car rental company Jucy.
"I learnt valuable life-skills, such as time management, teamwork and public speaking."
She also completed a 15-week marketing internship at not-for-profit organisation Life Unlimited in Hamilton, where she conducted marketing research and presented her findings to the organisation.
