Sophie Hamilton has landed a solid job as a Human Resources Administrator at large well-known Facilities Management company Morris Corporation in Perth – laying the foundations for her future career.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Social Sciences with majors in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management, Sophie moved to Perth to begin a new lifestyle, and found herself with a job after just three weeks.
“My role is so varied, I love it. I manage and carry out all contracts for new employees, advertise vacant positions, provide HR support to employees, coordinate staff training and inductions, carry out reference checks, manage resignations and coordinate group assessments.”
She is currently working towards a role as an Human Resources Advisor, the next step up for her.
Sophie says that her degree gave her the confidence and independence to get the position she is currently in. “By having a degree it also showed motivation and eagerness to succeed by demonstrating the skills I have developed and putting them into the workplace.”
