Consultations with Student Learning

Students at the University of Waikato can make appointments with Student Learning tutors. Below is an overview of the different kinds of appointments available, and how students can access them.

Face-to-face consultation

50-minute confidential consultations for discussing a range of learning matters.

Written comment on draft

If you are enrolled in a NET or BLK paper you can send an assignment draft for pre-reading. Student Learning uses Turnitin Feedback Studio to provide targeted feedback.

Video consultation

If you are studying at a distance there is the option of a video consultation. We use Google Hangouts, or Zoom. Service available only for NET / BLK students.

Every day from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm in Te Manawa (the Library, Rm M.2.32) you can drop in. These are 20 minute appointments that do not require pre-booking - first in first served.

FEDU International students workshops (292KB):These are held in the Faculty of Education but are open to any international students. They include a number of writing and grammar themes.
