Teaching observation

One of CeTTL’s roles is to carry out observations of teaching, at the request of staff members.

Staff may be assured that observation notes are confidential to them and the CeTTL member doing the observation. They are not shared with anyone else without the express permission of the staff member concerned.

What will happen prior to the observation?

It is beneficial to have the teaching observation focused on the areas you would like to receive feedback on. In this way, the consultant will know what to focus on during the observation.  You’re also welcome to meet with your consultant in advance of the observation for additional conversation.

Contact person

Please contact cettladmin@waikato.ac.nz if you would like an observation done.
