Improve your citation count workshop

Date / Time: 1 August 2013, 1-2.30pm
Venue: M2.15. Level 2, Student Centre/Library, University of Waikato

Improve your citation count in Scopus and Web of Science and get yourself an ORCID.

The focus of this workshop will be:

  • Setting up your researcher ID in ORCID (Open Researcher Contributor Identification Initiative).
  • Attributing your work correctly in Web of Science and Scopus databases.

Author IDs provide a way of distinguishing your research activities from those of others with similar names and to attach your unique identity to research outputs.

You can link to your ORCID ID to other identifiers (such as Scopus Author ID or ResearcherID or LinkedIn). You can include your ORCID ID on your webpage, when you submit publications, and apply for grants. ORCID is the one place where you can record your total publication history regardless of format, type of reference, or institution. This presentation will show you how to set up your own Researcher ID in ORCID. It will provide a brief overview of how to check your profiles and update them if necessary.
