Lab launch
The WMIER Video Lab is a virtual and real space within the Wilf Malcolm Institute of Educational Research that operates across and between the Hamilton and Tauranga campuses. You are invited to join us for the launch of our Video Lab in Tauranga which has been established to support local students and members of the community who wish to engage in video analysis.
The WMIER Video Labs have been established to promulgate the development of cutting-edge research that utilises video in a range of innovative ways to better understand pedagogies. Both Labs provide a generating, exploring, coordinating and connecting function, creating a platform for ongoing and future research and practice in the communities they serve.
Demonstration of a 360 camera for research
As part of the launch you are invited to attend a demonstration of the use of a 360 degree camera for research purposes. The demonstration will take place prior to the Video Lab Launch and will be conducted by PhD student Rene Novak. Rene will explain and demonstrate the use of the device along with its advantages and challenges. This session will be advantageous to researchers who are interested in visual pedagogies and the use of video methodologies in their research endeavours.
