WMIER to sponsor NZARE Conference 2012

nzare12 logoWMIER and the Faculty of Education, University of Waikato, will be hosting the NZARE (New Zealand Association for Research in Education) Conference and Annual Meeting in November 2012.

This years conference theme is “Ki te aomārama – Leading the Way: Inspiration and Innovation in Educational Research”.

The conference will be held at the Novotel and Ibis Hotels Tainui Hamilton on 29 and 30 November and with pre-conference workshops and SIGs held on campus at the University of Waikato on 28 November. The Early Childhood Research Hui will be held at The Link Community Centre in Hamilton.

Professor Alison Jones from The University of Auckland is again offering her popular two-part Academic Writing Workshop to conference participants. The workshop will assist anyone writing a thesis, an academic article or a report. This year's SIGs include Science, Māori, and Assessment

NZARE is the prime member association that fosters educational research in New Zealand. It organises annual conferences, newsletters and journals to members, runs workshops, supports special interest groups, and facilitates awards.
