Regulations for the Graduate Certificate in Postgraduate Preparation (GradCertPP)

  1. The Personal Programmes of Study Regulations apply in these regulations.
  2. Candidates would normally have completed the majority of their tertiary education outside New Zealand.

Admission

  1. Candidates for the Graduate Certificate in Postgraduate Preparation must have qualified admission to the University of Waikato and met any criteria set out in the Criteria for Admission to Particular Qualifications.
  2. Candidates for the Graduate Certificate in Postgraduate Preparation must have achieved:
    1. a bachelor degree or equivalent, and
    2. the equivalent of three years full time successful tertiary study, and
    3. and IELFTS score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any band) or equivalent.

Requirements for the Graduate Certificate

  1. The normal minimum period of enrolment for completion of the Graduate Certificate in Postgraduate Preparation is one trimester.
  2. Candidates must enrol in the University of Waikato College and follow an approved programme of study.
  3. Candidates must gain 60 points, including 40 points at 300 level or above, as prescribed in the relevant entry in the Subject Regulations.

Variations

  1. In exceptional circumstance the Director of the University of Waikato College may vary or waive these regulations in individual cases.
