Ian McLaren Memorial Scholarship
Closing date: 01 Aug 2023
For students enrolled full-time (i.e. 120- points) in the second or consecutive year of an undergraduate programme in the Division of Education. Applicants for this Scholarship must have achieved a minimum GPA of B+. International students must have completed at least 120-points of study at a NZ university in order to be eligible for this Scholarship.
John Allan Scholarship in Education
Closing date: 01 Aug 2023
For domestic students who are qualified teachers currently registered with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand, and enrolled part- or full-time in a 60-, 90- or 120-point masters thesis in the Division of Education. Applicants are expected to have achieved a minimum B+ GPA over their entire undergraduate degree.
Noeline Alcorn Doctoral Thesis Award
Closing date: 10 Nov 2023
Applications are by nomination only. The Chief Supervisor must nominate the applicant who has completed their PhD or EdD in the Faculty of Education in the 12 months prior to the closing date in the year of tenure.
Peter Freyberg Memorial Scholarship
Closing date: 01 Aug 2023
For students who are qualified teachers and enrolled part- or full-time in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Part 2 of the Doctor of Education (EdD) in the Division of Education. Applicants for this Scholarship must have achieved a minimum GPA of A- in their postgraduate study. Applicants must have gained confirmed enrolment status.
Te Kura Toi Tangata School of Education Poutama Pounamu Bursary
Closing date: No application required
The Bursary will be awarded to all students enrolling in a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or Master of Education programme, including both full-time and part-time enrolment, who have successfully completed either five or nine modules of the Poutama Pounamu Professional Learning programme; and have enrolled in one or both of EDUCA502 and/or EDUCA504.
Te Kura Toi Tangata School of Education Secondary School Future Teacher Bursary
Closing date: No application required
The Bursary is by nomination of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Division of Education and/or recommendation of a Teacher Education Selection Panel in the application process. The Bursary may only be applied to domestic students enrolling in a full-time initial teacher education programme at the University of Waikato. Any queries, email [email protected]
