Submission Guidelines

Experimental Poetics accepts articles, essays, book reviews and critical reflections dealing with Experimental Poetry and Aesthetics. You must send your manuscript VIA EMAIL in Word Format to be considered for publication. If you include images these must be in .jpg format. You must add in a short bio and your contact details.

Manuscripts can be written in Spanish, Portuguese or English. Articles must include an Abstract (max. of 200 words). Essays and articles must have a maximum of 12 000 words (including notes and works cited).

The same word limit will also apply to authors who wish to submit their own critical reflections, which are intended as a platform for dialogue and constructive debate concerning any aspect of Experimental Poetics and Aesthetics.

Authors submitting articles or essays must submit their manuscripts following either APA or MLA Style (2008 or newer versions). Literary quotations should be provided in their original language.

A book review may concern one or more works or monographs. The length should be approximately 900-1 000 words. The review should offer a critical discussion of the work.

After checking that the topic and content of each manuscript fit with the objectives of the journal, the editor will send each manuscript to members of the Advisory Committee to be evaluated in a process of academic blind peer-review. Then, a final decision will be taken following recommendations from the relevant assessors and communicated to the author or authors within a short period of time.
