Human Research Ethics

Any students from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences who are planning to conduct a research project that involves human participants will need approval from the Human Research Ethics Committee of either the Faculty or the School of Psychology, which are both devolved committees of the University's Human Research Ethics Committee.

Psychology students need to follow the process as set out on the Psychology Research Ethics website.

Applicants (and supervisors) are encouraged to begin the process in order to submit at least one month before beginning their research (e.g. to begin research in June, an application would need to be submitted in time for the May deadline).
