Māori & Psychology Research Unit Research Scholarships 2019 (now closed)

“To facilitate the professional development of Māori researchers and to continue
to develop future leaders in Māori focused research and psychology”.

Criteria

These are intended for students who are currently enrolled in Honour’s, Master’s, PGDip(Clin), PGDipPracPsy or PhD degrees in 2019 with the School of Psychology, University of Waikato.

  1. All applicants must be engaged in a research endeavour on a topic of relevance to the Māori & Psychology Research Unit in collaboration with their supervisor.
  2. Applicants must be prepared to collaborate with their supervisor on a publication which may include a journal article, conference proceedings, or book chapter.
  3. Successful applicants are required to present their research at an MPRU seminar held on the 20th November, 2019.
  4. Priority will be given to applicants who have not previously held a MPRU Scholarship.
  5. The scholarship must be accepted and contractual paper work signed within 2 weeks of receiving the scholarship offer.
  6. Where applicable a portion of the scholarship may be used to subsidise course fees.
