The TOMRA Fresh Food Scholarship for Women, worth $7,500, is awarded to a second and third-year female STEM student each year at the University of Waikato. It is awarded based on the student’s academic achievement and their potential to make an impact in the STEM industries (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths).
CEO Geoff Furniss says TOMRA Fresh Food is proud to support female STEM students and to encourage more females into careers in the technology and innovation sector.
“Our goal is to make a difference by assisting future leaders in technology and to encourage more women into careers in research, development and innovation.
“We are proud to be partnering with students at the University of Waikato. STEM subjects are at the heart of innovation and product development and we are pleased to support emerging talent focused in this area.”
