Who are we?
The University of Waikato’s Women in Law Association (WILA) is a society dedicated to promoting gender equality within the legal profession at Te Piringa - Faculty of Law. WILA provides mutual support to its members, and hosts activities that enhance the role of women in society and at Te Piringa - Faculty of Law.
Membership is free and open to all law students regardless of their gender, race or religion. To join, please contact the listed email address below.
What do we do?
WILA holds academic and social events throughout the year. This may include, and is not limited to:
- Pink Ribbon Women In Law Breakfast
- Workshops to build key legal skills
- Female judge Speaker panels
- Specialist Speakers
- Family Law Negotiation and Women In Law Competitions
