Hamilton Campus Library and Law Library

The Hamilton Campus Library is located in Te Manawa - The Student Centre near the heart of the University of Waikato Campus. The Law Library is located on Level 4 of the Hamilton Campus Library in the Student Centre.

Library and Building Access

Access to the Library is via the Student Centre foyer on Level 2. There are three entrances to the Student Centre building:

  • Level 2 on the East side (facing Hillcrest Road)
  • Level 1 near S Block - take the lift/stairs to Level 2 foyer
  • Level 0 near L Block - take the lift/stairs to Level 2 foyer

Parking

Accessbility car parks are available near the waterfall at the base of the Student Centre building and access via Level 0 is available at the opposite end of the building. There is a lift from Level 0 that stops at Level 1 (Bennetts) and Level 2 (main Student Centre foyer).

TThere is no public parking at the back of the Student Centre, the nearest on campus parking for students and public is at Gate 1, Knighton Road. Further information about parking on and around campus can be found at Parking fees and transport options.

  • A Library Help Desk to assist with finding information for your research, study and assignments
  • General Collection - made up of books and journals, located on Level 3
  • Law collection made up of materials to support teaching and research in the Faculty of Law. Located Level 4.

  • Seating for individual and group study
  • General Collection - Made up of books and journals, located on Level 3
  • Recreational Reading Collection - selection of popular novels provides some light relief from study. Located on Level 3
  • DVD/Video viewing and audio listening facilities. DVDs shelved in the General Collection, and CDs can be found in a bin on Level 3.
  • Computer Areas available on each level of the Student Centre
  • Microfilm and microfiche are located on Level 4 of the Student Centre. Please Contact Us for more information.
  • Rare Books Room containing an assortment of valuable or rare books. These items are able to be used inside the Library only.
