Māori Mentoring Units
Ko te Whare Wānanga o Waikato e tū mai nei, ko te Tangata te tohu, tīhei mauri ora!
Our Māori Mentoring Units are dedicated to improving Māori student achievement at Te Whare Wānanga o Waikato. Along with academic, pastoral and procedural help, the Units provide plenty of sporting, cultural and social opportunities throughout the year.
These include competitions, hākinakina, study wānanga, coffee clubs and much more.In each Unit you’ll find a friendly team of student mentors who are guided by a Mentor Coordinator. They understand the struggles and rewards of university life and are committed to helping you succeed. There is a Mentoring Unit in each Faculty on our Hamilton campus and one at our Tauranga campus too.
Nō reira, nau mai, haere mai!
