Māori Language Week takes place from 14 – 20 September 2026 and we encourage everyone to give it a go.
With a range of activities spanning across the week, there's plenty of things to do and see.

| 12.05pm | Te Reo Circuit Breaker | Group Exercise Room, UniRec | High-intensity resistance stations and no-frills cardio collide in a dynamic circuit, designed to push your own personal limits. | |
| 12.30pm | Pā Cultural Narrative Tour | Mahau, Front of Wharenui, The Pā | Nau mai, haere mai e te iwi! We welcome you to listen to some of the cultural narrative for The Pā.No registration required. | |

Mahi Māreikura Tour |
In celebration of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, the Library Services team are opening up some of the University's special collections, including our taonga Māori collection - Mahi Māreikura. The Mahi Māreikura archive holds the collections of three esteemed Māori scholars - Dr Pei Te Hurinui Jones, Professor Bruce Biggs, and Dr Maharaia Winiata.
