This scholarship has been offered by 1st Art Gallery to enable Art and Liberal Arts students (all disciplines) to further their education. Art students need to submit a piece of art that makes them proud. This can be any type of art submission including (but not limited to) a painting, photograph, statue, song, animation, video, film, illustration, story, poem or any other type of art. Liberal Arts students should apply with a recent sample of their writing, on any subject, limited to 2000 words. (Arts - fine arts, music, performing arts, visual arts. Natural science - biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, earth science. Social science - anthropology, economics, geography, political science, sociology, history. Languages, linguistics, literature, mathematics. philosophy, psychology, religious studies.
Building Research Levy Funds (BRANZ)

The 2022/23 Prospectus calls for stand-alone research proposals responding to questions in three themes:
- Building costs
- Changing behaviour
- System resilience
BRANZ uses a two-stage process. A short expression of interest is assessed, then successful applicants are invited to submit a full proposal. Information about the process and timetable is contained in the Prospectus.
Falling Walls Lab New Zealand

Falling Walls Lab is a challenging, inspiring and interdisciplinary format for outstanding talents, innovators, and high potentials with ground-breaking ideas. In 3-minute talks, participants have the opportunity to share their research projects, business models or social initiatives relevant to the world today to their peers, the interested public and a distinguished jury - promoting ideas and fostering interdisciplinary networks. The event is inspired by the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989, with the question of every Falling Walls gathering being: Which walls will fall next? All disciplines are welcome: from engineering, social sciences, natural sciences and economics to the liberal arts or any other discipline.
CLNZ/NZSA Research Grants

The CLNZ/NZSA Research Grants support New Zealand writers by providing assistance to writers who wish to undertake research for a fiction or non-fiction writing project. Four Research Grants valued at $5,000 each are available to New Zealand writers wishing to undertake research for fiction or non-fiction writing project. These are bought to you by Copyright Licensing New Zealand (CLNZ) and the New Zealand Society of Authors (NZSA) as part of the CLNZ Cultural Fund.
IN 2022, one of the four Research Grants is targeted at diverse writers and diverse and new topics, and writers who propose to write on issues or subjects that are tropical in present day Aotearoa. A broad range of fiction and non-fiction writing projects are eligible for these grants, however some works and projects are excluded so writers are encourage to check the guidelines carefully.
Memorial Scholarships - Tanenuiarangi Manawatu Inc, NZ

These scholarships have been established to assist Rangitaane O Manawatu descendants in their chose course of tertiary study. Seven scholarships worth $500 each are available. To be eligible to apply for one of these scholarships, the applicant must be registered with TMI and thus a descendant of Rangitāne O Manawatu.
Kate Sheppard Memorial Award

This scholarship was established by the Auckland Business Chamber in 2016, to mark Michael Barnett’s 25 years of leadership of the organisation. There are two scholarships available valued at $5,000 each. The Scholarships are open to promising communication/management students or other great communicators.
