The Brendan Thompson Prize in Economics is awarded annually to the student enrolled in the Waikato Management School who gains the highest grade in either ECONS304 (International Economics Issues).

Foundation Professor’s Prize in Economics

The Foundation Professor’s Prize in Economics is awarded annually to the student enrolled in the Waikato Management School who gains the highest grade in the paper ECONS101 (Business Economics and the New Zealand Economy), over the calendar year.

J. T. Ward Prize in Economics

The J. T. Ward Prize in Economics is awarded annually to the student enrolled in the Waikato Management School who gains the highest grade in the paper ECONS202 or ECONS302 (Microeconomics and Business Economics), over the calendar year.

Brian Silverstone Prize in Macroeconomics

This Prize is awarded annually to the best student enrolled in ECONS501 (Macroeconomics Analysis) or an equivalent postgraduate paper in Macroeconomics).
