Kaimai Shuttle

The Kaimai Shuttle service is available to enrolled students need to be on the other campus for University studies or a University-related event. It is expected that students book a return trip on the same day.

The service is also available to staff who are required to work across both campuses. Manager approval is required.

The Kaimai Shuttle buses run Monday to Friday during teaching weeks of Trimesters A, B and C, and teaching periods G and H (excluding public holidays).

The service does not run during teaching recesses, study and exam weeks.

Note: Durham Lane is on the western side of the campus and is not on Google Maps. It runs parallel between Cameron Road and Durham Street.

Register for the Shuttle

Students and staff must be registered to use the Kaimai Shuttle service. Once registered you will receive an email confirming how to book your seat.

  • Students: To register, email uwt@waikato.ac.nz and include your name and student ID.
  • Staff: Line managers email uwt@waikato.ac.nz to request registration for their staff, specifying the required date range for the service. If a fleet vehicle would typically be approved for the trip, staff are likely to be entitled to register for the shuttle.
