Virtual Opportunities

This year we've had to quickly adapt from in-person to online learning opportunities. The Waikato OE is excited to offer new avenues to gain work experience, increase cross-cultural understanding, and develop international connections without leaving New Zealand

Virtual Internships

Build your career from anywhere with a Waikato OE Virtual Internship!

Virtual internships are a great way to gain invaluable professional experience, grow your network and make your CV shine.

  • Work from anywhere - virtual internships completely remove any geographical or physical restrictions that could otherwise prevent you from pursuing an opportunity
  • Flex your schedule - choose between 10 to 40 hours; select the duration of your internship - from 4 to 24 weeks; and start your virtual internship at a time that suits you
  • Develop important job skills - virtual internships are an excellent CV booster in that they develop and demonstrate a diverse set of skills that are of high value to employers
  • Reduced financial barriers - virtual internships are more cost effective than traditional in person international internships, but still allow for crucial work experience in a different culture
