Waikato Ultimate
Waikato Ultimate is the regional body for the sport of Ultimate Frisbee in the Waikato Region.
They are committed to promoting and growing the sport of Ultimate by providing opportunities to play Ultimate, supporting club development and supporting development programmes in the Waikato Region.
They are a volunteer not-for-profit organisation run by people with a passion for Ultimate.
Ultimate Frisbee is played both indoors and outdoors in New Zealand. Spring League (October to December) and Summer League (January to March) are played outdoors on the University of Waikato's sports fields. Autumn League (April to June) and Winter League (July to September) are played indoors on school gym courts. These leagues are mixed 5-a-side and registrations are done through our website.
Waikato Ultimate also put on events like the Queen's Birthday Hat Tournament, which is a mixed event held on the public holiday Monday and is open to anyone with players registering individually and teams being formed by 'drawing out of a hat'.
For school-aged players, there are schools' leagues held during the school year and school holiday programs. Summer 2017 sees the launch of our Youth Ultimate Frisbee program for 12-16 year olds to learn how to play Ultimate Frisbee.

Hammertron Ultimate Frisbee Club
Hammertron sends teams to the NZ Open Championships (held in March) in both the men's and women's divisions and two teams to the NZ Mixed Championships (held in November).

UTSNZ Tertiary Tournament
Each year, University of Waikato students get the opportunity to join Team Waikato and represent the University of Waikato at the University and Tertiary Sport NZ (UTSNZ) National Tertiary Ultimate Frisbee Championships. The annual two-day tournament is held in September.
