A review of core topics in engineering maths and numerical modelling that underpin study in professional engineering. Topics include university entry-level algebra, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, complex numbers, numerical computation and modelling.

Prerequisite(s): 14 credits at Level 2 in NCEA Mathematics or Physics, or a minimum of 8 credits at Level 3 in NCEA across Mathematics and/or Physics.

Restriction(s): The JS offering is only available to students taking part in the Jump Start programme, which is a transition to University programme that runs 4 weeks before A Trimester orientation.
