This paper aims to develop student understanding of computing terminology, use of network-based computers, and the key issues associated with integrating computers into communicative language teaching and learning. Students will explore key concepts in the area of CALL through practical examples and exercises. The paper will also provide a foundation for higher-level computer-assisted language learning (CALL) papers.
