An introductory course assuming minimal chemistry background for students who are non-chemistry majors. Students with 16 or more credits in NCEA Level 3 Chemistry are encouraged to take CHEM111 instead. An emphasis is made on placing the concepts taught in the course within the broader context of the life and environmental sciences.
