Students will be provided with an overview of the principal regimes for the protection of intellectual property, with reference to statutes and case law, and of the international conventions that relate to intellectual property protection. Students will also be introduced to the policy and economics underlying intellectual property protection, and the relevant contemporary policy debates and critiques of that protection. Specific areas will be focused on in depth.
