Bachelor of Climate Change
If you are an international student who is not currently in New Zealand, you can start this programme online in A Trimester 2022 (March) until you are able to join us on campus in New Zealand. See how to apply.
Students studying the Bachelor of Climate Change must also choose another major subject to study alongside their climate change papers. Online students can choose from the following majors: Economics, Strategic Management, Public Relations, Education and Society, some arts and social sciences majors but with limited paper availability.
Climate change is the most pressing environmental issue facing humanity, affecting every facet of the world around us. We urgently need graduates who can lead future climate change solutions in all sectors of society.

The Bachelor of Climate Change degree allows students to become an expert in one of a wide range of different major subjects that are needed to develop effective climate change solutions.
Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of climate change through the compulsory papers of the degree, including its scientific, social, cultural and economic dimensions. Mātauranga Māori is interwoven through the degree and students are taught the importance of valuing different worldviews when trying to develop authentic solutions to the challenges of climate change.
The degree culminates with a multidisciplinary group project, where students will work with an external organization to develop an effective low-carbon strategy. Students will graduate with skills and experiences that are in-demand, as we work towards a target of net zero emissions in Aotearoa by 2050.
