GradDip - Sport Development and Coaching as a subject

The Sport Development and Coaching major is based on an innovative combination of pedagogical and sociological studies of sport and active recreation.

Prescriptions for the GradCert(SDC) and GradDip(SDC)

A Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma are available to graduates who have not included Sport Development and Coaching at an advanced level in their first degree. To complete the Graduate Diploma, students must take a total of 120 points including at least 75 points at 300 level or above in Sport Development and Coaching. Programmes of study are planned according to interests and prior academic background and experience, and intending candidates should therefore consult the Head of the School of Health.

Students who major in Sport Development and Coaching as part of the Bachelor of Health, Sport and Human Performance often pursue further study at master's or doctorate level to enhance their understanding of a specialised area within the sport and leisure industry.
