Ngāti Tama ki Te Waipounamu Trust provides assistance to whānau who are registered with them to promote and enhance social, educational, health and wellbeing, sporting and cultural opportunities.

These scholarships support individuals in the agribusiness in achieving developing their management, leadership and governance skills and participating in management, leadership and governance programmes.
Closes 19 January | Graduate | Postgraduate
The Trust which funds the scholarship has been established by Mrs Yvonne A M Smith for the advancement of the education of women graduates who wish to embark upon Masters or Doctoral studies, with preference being given to the subject areas of political studies, economics, business or law. Preference will also be given to applicants who demonstrate potential for leadership and potential to make a significant contribution to New Zealand.

The Barbara Wood Memorial Foundation offers financial assistance to tertiary students, both female and male, who were born in the South Pacific region which not only includes the island nations of the Pacific but also New Zealand and Australia. Students born in the South Pacific wishing to study in New Zealand or anywhere in the South Pacific are eligible for the scholarship. The Scholarships have a value of up to $1,000 a year. Recipients who are successful in any one year, can reapply in a subsequent year.
Closes 31 January | Postgraduate
The purpose of this study award is to provide funds to assist with an individual’s post-graduate level research to improve knowledge in the field of coastal restoration. The scholarship award is usually $2,000 plus expenses to travel and present at the Coastal Restoration Trust Conference.
